TENETS 9-12: 12 Tenets Of A Big Brand

Tenet 9: You’re In Business To Earn A Profit

The point of all of this is at the end of the day, I’m talking to you as one small business owner to another, one entrepreneur to another, one solopreneur to another, you’re either making money or not making money. Make no mistake about it. You’re in business to earn a profit, which is tenet number nine. Whether you make your money through a revolutionary idea or your ability to do something better than anyone else or your ability to pull something off on behalf of your customer like no one else. Whether you offer this all-new solution, whatever the case may be, the truly big brands in history have always focused on ringing that bell of sales profits and continued growth. As they there moving down the path towards ringing that bell so it rings as loudly as possible, they do it with passion.

Tenet 10: Great Brands Are Built With Passion

Great brands are built with passion, which is tenet number ten. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that as a fellow small business owner, I found that passion is what keeps us revved up, pumped up and energized. I found that passion is what fuels us to step into our greatness and highlight our uniqueness, to be and do all the things that are necessary to succeed in what often seems like a very tough road to haul for most of us. I found that without passion you will soon find yourself running on empty. That can land you in the poorhouse. Part of inspiring and motivating someone to go crazy about your brand, part of moving that person to work with you, to use your services, to purchase your brand requires that you love absolutely everything that your brand is about.

Big Brand Tenets: When you are willing to persevere and you are focused on keeping customers very happy and pleased, you will discover yourself being able to enjoy a better lifestyle.

You are so turned on by your brand that you can’t wait to wake up every morning, enthusiastic and you cannot wait to service your customers. You cannot wait to get your brand out there into the market. You are so enthusiastic about what it is that you have to offer, that product, service, gift, talent, ability, whatever your brand is. You are so lit up by it. The enthusiasm naturally extends through your brand. It’s so contagious to others that customers will flock to your brand like bees to honey. That’s what great brands do. We do it every day with the brands that we prefer to purchase. Whether we walk into the grocery store or walk into a department store, where we bank every day, we have a preference for one brand over another.

To get to that, it takes heart, courage and going from the shallow end of the pool to the deep end of the pool. It often takes a willingness to take chances and take a risk or go out on the thin ice or climb out onto the skinny branches.

Tenet 11: Persevere

One thing is for sure, great brands also require you and I to each persevere. Perseverance is tenet number eleven. Perseverance is magical and grit. Perseverance is the ability to continue doing something in spite of difficulties, obstacles or discouragement. Perseverance is when we are willing to look into the face of that storm and not allow ourselves to get swallowed by it. Perseverance means that we are going to be consistent because when you’re consistent, you can be persistent. When you’re persistent, you can break through by resistance. It’s all about being willing to persevere and not give in.

I found that when you are driven by purpose, when you are willing to persevere and you are focused on having happy and pleased customers, you will discover yourself being able to enjoy a better lifestyle. You will find yourself having better relationships. You will find yourself being able to truly live the life that you desire. Tenet 12: Be Positive

All of these lead into my last tenet, which is to be positive. Don’t let anyone or anything at any time or anywhere rain on your parade. This is your time. This is your moment. This is your opportunity to be on the top, not on the bottom. For some of you, it may mean that this is your opportunity to be a lender and not a borrower, to be the head and not the tail. You deserve to have a big brand if that’s something you want. You deserve to have the kind of lifestyle, health, happiness and joy and all the other things that you desire. It is your time. No matter the storms of life, no matter how discouraging it may become, no matter how dark it may seem, no matter if all you see is midnight, always know that your midnight will turn into day.

You must be positive, upbeat and excited, knowing that the best is yet to come. The worst is behind you and the best is in front of you. I know that you want to create an incredible customer experience. I know you want to create tremendous delight for the customers that you serve. By embracing positivity day in and day out along with the other eleven tenets that I shared with you, you will own your greatness and step into your destiny. Your tomorrow can certainly become better and be greater than yesterday. Next week can indeed be far greater than last week. Thank you for reading. Take care.
